here we are
at the beginning
like children attending a new school
full of dread
and possibly (hopefully)
excitement

we know what school is like
but we do not know what this new environment will be like
will we fit in?
will we make friends?
will we be accepted?
will we flourish?
will we fail?
 
interestingly, these existential questions follow us through life
at every stage
at every crossroad
at every ending
and at every beginning
 
today marks the start of a new paradigm
for all inhabitants of Earth
a 13-year cycle is ending
a 13-year cycle is beginning

today we set off on the path
of this new 13-year cycle
there will be challenges
there will be lessons
there will be loss
there will be gain
and there will be growth and expansion
as old ways dissolve
and new ways develop and thrive

today's energetic cycle is an invitation to
to connect with the Divine...
an invitation to learn to live
from a place of self love and kindness
today our consciousness reaches 
beyond our personal limitations
to the matrix that is Universal Love

the cosmic context of today's commencement
 is that through knowledge and understanding
through compassion and empathy
through the expansion of the senses
and the expansion of the mind
we connect to the higher mind
to the intuitive mind
to the place where we know what we know
and the place that understands our interconnectedness
the place that reveals the individuals capacity for social consciousness
for humanitarian giving
for growth that improves everything for everyone

what an opportunity in the offering!
what a much needed turn in the road!

in this Spring season of growing light
of solar, vitalizing, empowering, life giving light
the universal solvent, LOVE, is coaxing us
out of hibernation and into
the spiritualizing process that is its highest vibration:
the capacity to love oneself with full acceptance
thus allowing one to love others with full acceptance 

consider the past 13 years
where were you then?
where are you now?
how did you get here?
what did it cost you to get here?
how do you feel about where you are?
where do you want to go now?
 
consider the past 13 years
gather your experiences
and cut your losses
celebrate your achievements
...or somewhere in between…
but most importantly
get as real and as honest with yourself as you possibly can

a cosmic reset is taking place
and the mandate is to
to lose your old way of being
so you can truly become
who you are
who you are meant to be

the universe is giving you permission to wipe the slate clean
in order to fill it with your own visions
your own rules
your own guidelines and definitions
the universe is inviting you to surrender everything you know
so you can express everything you know
the universe is infusing you with everything you need for this journey
meaning no need to overthink
the next 13 year cycle ahead of us

the cosmic context today is about trust
it is an invitation to let go of worrying about it
because worrying is a waste of energy
since you cannot control a cosmic cycle
you will live it
and you will know it
and you will be part of it
and that is enough
because you are enough

the cosmic context of today's beginning
is calling us into life
into full and free complete self love and self expression

Exhale.
Inhale.
BREATHE In the promise of Spring
and this new cycle
EXHALE the confines of the past
INHALE the LOVE
EXHALE the fear

2020 is a time of reckoning
It is a time of accepting
Our essential goodness
Despite our failures
Despite our traumas
In this time of transformation
We have a golden opportunity
To self confront in order to see
Whether or not
We have what it takes
To become a scout
To become a pathfinder
In the uncharted territory of what comes
After the patriarchy
 
Humanity needs scouts
Scouts who understand that the shadows we cast
Connects us to the Earth
Scouts who are fearless in believing
That there is a place at the table for everyone
Scouts courageous enough
To walk their talk as they
Learn to live from love
Abundantly
 
Humanity needs scouts
For they will become the emissaries of the future
Leading us out
Of the holding patterns
Of patriarchal retribution and
Into a place of
Unity and community
A place where
Love of self
And Love for other
Reside harmoniously
 
This is the time of our
Ring-Pass-Not
The time to embrace the cosmic truth
That far from being a place
Of death and endings
The Dark is a place
Rich with the potential for change
Rich with the potential for hope
The Dark is place to DREAM
To Imagine
To Plan
To Begin

We are not helpless… we have agency!
 
So here we are
Faced with the truth

At this crucial, critical time
Confined
With limited escape
From this reality

But…
It is easier to avoid
To resist
To be cynical
To passively fall in line
When the crisis abates
To drift along with whatever the
Next normal will be…
 
Passivity wins
Chalked up as human nature
 
But is it human nature?
