We are living in extraordinary, evolutionary times. Times that are asking us to stretch beyond ourselves… asking us to understand what shaped us… asking us to learn how to self-direct in order to liberate ourselves from the past and anything that prevents full and free self-expression.
The Sedna Circle is intentionally aligned with the evolutionary energy of these times. Through the language and symbolism of Astrology and through Astro-Jin, a proprietary blending of Astrology and Jin Shin Jyutsu (an energy healing art that relieves stress and tension and brings balance and vitality to body, mind, and spirit), The Sedna Circle is being established to provide a space for learning to self-direct in the practice of untangling our emotions to soothe and nourish our bodies, minds and spirits in service of manifesting loving ourselves with full acceptance. The Sedna Circle support the understanding that when we take the time to develop our intuitive faculties and to expand our consciousness the human body is resilient, the mind is in harmony with its flexible nature, and we have the greatest potential to become our best selves. Who or what is Sedna? On November 14, 2003, on the very edge of our galaxy in an icy place called the Oort Cloud, planet 90377 was discovered. Great thought was given to the naming of this new planet and in breaking from the tradition of naming planets after the Greco-Roman Gods and Goddesses, Planet 90377 was named Sedna after the Inuit Goddess of the Arctic Sea. Sedna is the outermost planet in our solar system. Sedna has a large and highly elliptical orbit which means that even at Sedna’s closest position relative to the Sun she remains far beyond all the other planets. To put this into perspective: the Earth takes 1 year to orbit the Sun, Pluto, the former outermost planet in our solar system, takes 248 years to orbit the Sun, and Sedna takes approximately 11,500 years to orbit the Sun! This means that the inhabitants of Earth experience Sedna energy in a concentrated way as evinced by the fact that everyone alive on the Earth today born before 1968 was born when Sedna was in the sign of Aries, and everyone born after 1968 was born when Sedna was in the sign of Taurus. Sedna, the Inuit Goddess of the Sea - Mother of All, lives at the bottom of the icy Arctic Ocean and rules over all marine life, which means that the Inuit depend on her grace to have bountiful food for survival. In times when fishing is scarce an Inuit Shaman embarks on an inner journey to the ocean floor to appease Sedna in hopes of having her release sea life to the Inuit. If the Shaman is able to reach Sedna, the Shaman must comb Sedna’s hair and talk to her to assure her that they will guide humans to treat each other better. The Shaman does this to soothe Sedna as her broken heart carries the rage and anguish of her human life, a pain so overpowering at times that she is unable to think of anything else. Sedna is reminded daily of the horror and cruelty of her human existence because she has no fingers, they were chopped off by her father when he threw her out of his boat to die in the sea. When Sedna sank to the bottom of the ocean, she transformed into the Goddess of the Sea - Mother of All and her cut off fingers turned into the mammals of the ocean. The simple kindness of the Shaman combing Sedna’s hair and speaking to Sedna to soothe her pain is powerful medicine; it connects the Shaman with the human part of Sedna that has not forgotten how to love. In remembering love and the interconnectedness of all life, Sedna willingly releases the fish for the Inuit. The mythology of Sedna is a multilayered story that deals with loss, betrayal, dismemberment, murder, deception, transformation that comes at considerable cost, and the ultimate power of love. The story of Sedna resonates strongly with the suffering that results from a civilization based on dominance and oppression. The story of Sedna is rich with archetypal meaning and guidance for these evolutionary times if we are willing to dive deep, to follow the Shaman to the depths to confront the painful truths that keep us tangled up within and without. Learning to self soothe and to nourish ourselves is essential to reclaiming our power. Learning to love ourselves with full acceptance which by extension brings the compassion to love others with full acceptance is the first step in creating a civilization, a world, grounded in unity consciousness, a place where love of self and love of other are in balance and everyone has a seat at the table. Why create The Sedna Circle now? The Sedna Circle is being created now because in June 2023 the planet Sedna will move into the sign of Gemini. This profound shift will energetically impact everyone alive on the planet as well as influence the coming generations that will be born with Sedna in Gemini (2023 - 2068). The Sedna Circle posits that this energetic shift will aid humanity’s evolution into the Age of the Collective United because it is through the sign of Gemini that we come to understand that everything is related, everything… and that forming right relationship is essential for our wellbeing. Gemini energy is all about Interaction, an energy civilization is in much need of to transform the polarizing energies of Aries and Taurus representing Action and Reaction, respectively. The Sedna Circle is dedicated to engaging the harmonizing energy of Interaction in advance of the coming cosmic shift because the need is great now, and because there is no time like the present for healing and LOVE! |
You are invited to join The Sedna Circle to travel the way of meaning, self-knowledge, and spiritual growth in alignment with the celestial energies guiding the transformation of these revolutionary and evolutionary times.
The Sedna Circle meets 7:00pm – 8:15pm (EST) every 4th Wednesday of the month starting on Wednesday, March 23, 2022
Participants in The Sedna Circle will explore the mythology of Sedna and take a deep dive into the signs of Aries, Taurus, and Gemini. Each meeting participants will also engage the vibrational energy of the signs and planets through the meditative practice of Astro-Jin that combines breath, visualization, and finger holding to nourish and support the journey of self-awareness, vitalization, and agency. The fee to participate in The Sedna Circle is $10.00 per meeting. 100% of proceeds will be donated to support organizations that help feed those in need. Given the war in Ukraine, World Central Kitchen is the organization currently receiving these funds. In the 1950s an American-born Japanese woman named Mary Burmeister brought Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) to the United States from Japan. Jin Shin Jyutsu is the art of using your hands to harmonize the energy of the body to relieve stress and tension and to bring balance and healing to body, mind, and spirit.
In the 1960s, before Mary began teaching Jin Shin Jytsu in the United States, she wove the knowledge of Astrology into Jin Shin Jyutsu. Mary did this intentionally because she knew that both wisdom schools were powerful knowledge banks for understanding the functioning of humans on all levels (body, mind, and spirit); she also knew that by combining the two mystery schools she could more easily open the hearts and minds of her students of the West to receiving the knowledge of the East. Astro-Jin© is built upon Mary’s harmonized vision. Utilizing the self-help component of Jin Shin Jyutsu, which is holding your fingers and/or placing your hands on various points of your body known as Safety Energy Locks, Astro-Jin© focuses the vibrational energy of real-time planetary movements to nourish and support the journey of self-awareness, vitalization, and agency. |
