So much grief
So much sorrow
So much fear
So much loss
So much anxiety
So much uncertainty
So much anger
So much frustration
So much confusion
So much despair
So much death
 
And so much life
 
As we look from the windows of our contained lives
Nature is blooming
When have we ever witnessed the cycle of life so profoundly?
 
The Solar Year began on the Spring Equinox
The Sun entered Aries, the point of all beginnings
The point of initiation for the New Year’s life force vitality
And in the season in which we usually venture forth
To enjoy the sunshine and growing longer days
We are sheltering in place
Frightened for the well being of our loved ones
And ourselves
Helpless as familiar life is decimated
And we are forced to feel
The fragility of existence
 
The synchronicity
Of our collective pause
With the start of the Solar Year
Is not random
 
We are in the early stages…
Not only of Covid19
But of a whole New Age
The Age of Aquarius
The Age of the Collective United
 
Life is fragile in the early stages
Think of the newborn infant
Requiring non stop care
Think of the exhausted first caregivers
Offering non stop care
Think of the newborn infant
Who does not receive the care, the nourishment, the love
And thrives none-the-less
 
Life is tenacious
Life endures
Life continues
Ever cycling
and recycling
 
And as the Sun moves into the sign of Taurus
Plowing the springtime Earth
Making it ready to receive the seeds
Of this new way of being
We engage our senses
Sight, Smell, Taste, Hearing and yes, Touch
We engage our intuition
The Body’s GPS
To observe, explore, create, and ultimately understand
This changing, new environment
And our place in it
